Gamynne Guillotte is the Director of Interpretation and Public Engagement at The Baltimore Museum of Art, where she is responsible for realizing interpretive spaces, resources, and activities. Recent projects include two rotating education galleries in the newly reopened contemporary wing and BMA Go Mobile, the web-based mobile art guide for the contemporary collection. Guillotte comes to the BMA from Narduli Studio, an interdisciplinary design practice where she was a designer and project manager, and from the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles, where she developed community outreach initiatives and public programs. Ms. Guillotte received a Masters of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.

Mobile web sites: all museum’s seem to want one, but no one seems to agree where to start. By analyzing the development of three very different mobile web projects – from the Rijksmuseum, Baltimore Museum of Art and Walker Art Center – this session will explore the strengths and weaknesses of mobile web development approaches including dedicated mobile sites, responsive web sites and mobile first.
